We are all about the materials
We are inspired by the sourcing of beautiful materials. A key part of our process is the acquisition of pre loved and naturally authentic materials. The discovery of which is an exciting part of the journey. Our process is driven by the bespoke materials we source.

Concept
Visual mood boards are just the beginning.
Finding a verbal story that describes the space or instillation which you are discovering.
“ Chinese tri-ad ganster gambling den, that also serves delicious food” for example.
Its a story that sets the parameters of a space. You can allways fall back on the characters in that story when making decisions down the track.
Design
After aquiring the materials that fit our story we can begin to design around them.
Oliver Buckworth has always used hand drawing for the initial stages of the project. Right from the first meeting its important to describe your ideas in a visual format.
The later stages of architectural building drawings and plans are in partnership with our extended collaborators. Check them out in or collaborators section.
Creation
We feel its important to be a strong part of the build itself. Most of the smaller projects are built by the in house team. We collaborate with other building teams when the scope gets too large and instead of being on tools we adopt more of a design and management role. Either way being present on site is of most importance and seeing through the design details till the end.
